The Vulpine is a Melbourne-based band that specialises in alternate and spacey rock. From ballad like passages to soaring soundscapes, in an instant this 4 piece outfit can shift from quiet chords to screaming dissonant riffs, captivating audiences with their dynamic style. Formed in the early 70s, The Vulpine has been honing their sound within the intimate venues of Melbourne's music scene, perfecting their songs and their sound. With guitars blaring, drums and bass pumping and an electric piano that will tear apart your very soul, this is a band you shouldn't miss.

We love music. We love playing music, and we love doing what we love. As long as we can do it, we're going to try and play as much music as we can. This band is not only our hobby, it is our passion, our social life and our outlet from the endless monotony that is corporate life. Secondly we think we sound pretty good, and we want as many people as possible to hear us. We love playing to an audience and we want to do it more.

Music comes first. We will keep playing until we can't. Profit comes last. Dead last. So last in fact, that most of the time we pay for our passion out of our own pocket. But breaking even means we can do the things we love easier, and hence why we aren't always having a crazy "everything must go sale" on our cds. Head to the store, there's a run down on what kind of money we make and why. Our ultimate goal is to get our art to as many people as possible, with as little effort and money from the end user as possible. Art shouldn't be about profit, and it shouldn't be about capitalism. But hey, don't take my word for it. What do I know, I'm just a web designer.
