Flying home [12/10/2008]     Before I left I bought these mega isolating headphones for recording / travelling. On the plane they're awesome, because they block out the plane noise and give you this bizarre soundtrack experience when you're looking out the window.    Here they are, they're Westone UM1 isolating stage monitors:        And this is what it's like to travel with them. Put headphones on and then watch this movie. This is us flying back to Melbourne with the sun rising on the horizon. I love this song:        Sigur Ros + isolating headphones + plane = magic    We also flew past this massive tropical storm, there were 2 black mountain clouds extending up into the atmosphere, with lightning dancing inside.
