Barcelona [23/07/2009]     I'm a little bit completely emo-fan boy obsessed with Seattle band Barcelona at the moment, simply because this is a band I find by complete accident via this video of an Aquarium is Kuroshio:        That's the last song of their album 'Absolutes', which is a a very quality album. They're quite modern, but at the same time, they're layered, melodic and clever, which is something that is missed by a lot of the power-chordy, monophonic ring-tone crap you get these days.    They're sort of Deathcabby / piano rock coldplay stuff, only better (sorry deathcab, but NOT SORRY COLDPLAY, fricken chris martin, i'm looking at you).    Liberal use of Yamaha CP-80s and tasteful strings are always a plus :D    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barcelona_(indie_rock_band)    If you can track down their album, awesome.
